About Turbin Chu Heidt

Accomplished And Respected Lawyers

Our practice is devoted to helping people who have suffered serious injuries or lost loved ones through the negligence of others. We handle all types of motor vehicle accidents and other personal injury cases. Several of our cases have set legal precedent or records for the size of the award, including a medical malpractice case in which we obtained the largest award anywhere in the United States that year.

  • Our founding attorney, Richard Turbin, has practiced law since 1975 and has been selected to Hawaii Super Lawyers every year from 2008 through 2015. He is well-known in the community for both his legal success and his time spent educating the Oahu public during a popular radio show, “Putting Law in Order,” answering caller’s legal questions.
  • Richard’s wife and law partner, Rai Saint Chu, has practiced since 1972. Richard and Rai have both been candidates and served in public office in Hawaii and each has held the position of president of the Hawaii State Bar Association.
  • Attorney Janice Heidt has practiced since 1998 and joined the firm in 2009. She has obtained substantial recoveries for clients through trials, arbitrations and mediations.
